This course is devoted to the quiet and meditative study of plants through drawing and watercolor, balancing scientific clarity with artistic sensitivity. Students will work from collected specimens while observing subtle shifts of color and shape to render botanical forms with precision and character.

Emphasis will be placed on clean line, composition, controlled washes, and the luminous detailing that defines traditional botanical work. By the end of the course, students will complete a small grouping of botanical illustrations that reflect a quiet reverence for natural forms.
